About this image
There was a small auroral display seen here at Tarbatness last night. First seen at around 23:30UT as a general brightening on the northern horizon, this then developed into something brighter and vertical beams were seen moving from east to west and rising to about 10-15 degrees altitude. The night was quite misty and the sky was clear but bright. The display faded and was then covered by low cloud and although images showed that the aurora was continuing at a more subuded level it was still visible in cloud gaps until imaging ceased at around 01:15 UT. This is my first sighting of the aurora this Autumn/Winter season.
