Northern Milky Way from Cassiopeia to Auriga

About this image

A view of the northern Milky Way passing just to the north of the zenith on a very clear   if rather chilly night in western France.. The street lights are switched off from local midnight till 06.00 which gives ample opportunities for good dark night skies if the weather co-operates.
