About this image

A bi-colour narrowband image, processed in PixInsight. The nebula is powered by a Wolf-Rayet star at its centre, WR136, whose fierce stellar winds are overtaking a previously-ejected shell of material and causing shockwaves, along with the star's ultraviolet radiation which causes the nebula to glow.
