About this image

Mercury imaged in poor seeing conditions, Ant 4-5, occasionally 3-4. This was an improvement over the preceding weekend when the seeing was 5 all the time. Approximately 175,000 video frames captured, processed in PIPP and Registax with final frame selection done manually. The number of acceptable frames was too small to generate useful verification images, but the albedo features visible in the final image correspond well with a blurred version of the reference Messenger image.
