About this image
Hello all, There was a small but long lasting auroral display seen here at Tarbatness last night 20191024-25.First seen at around 21:30 UT as a diffuse bight arc on the northern horizon. This arc rose and became better defined then banding and rays were seen faintly. On the images taken the green arc was bordered by a diffuse red band all of which rose to about 40 degrees altitude. The display faded by 00:00 UT but then became more active again but remained faint. The display was still visible at around 04:00 UT. The sky was clear but hazy with some large tropospheric clouds moving quickly. This is only my second view of the aurora this Autumn. Image attached taken at 22:00 UT Best wishes Denis
