About this image

I thought that this set of images were to be yet another batch wasted through poor correction by the flats. Fortunately, I managed to get away without using flats; just had to patch one dust mote.

Not a very original target but I realised I had not imaged M42 since moving on from DSLR only; and everyone should have an M42!

Stacked and processed in Pixinsight. PI's HDR multiscale transform is just amazing.
