About this image

Defocussed stars technique. Little pretence to a scientific result here, but it gives an impression. Taken in the early evening, with a less than perfect sky. Sadly, Saiph was occulted by a local conifer. Demonstrates the difficulty of visually comparing stars of (very) different colour.
