About this image

Crop from the original wide-field shot of The Heart Nebula showing the highly active region which is energised by the open star cluster Melotte 15. The results are spectacular and image capture was helped by an exceptionally clear night and a noticeably reduced level of light pollution, probably as a consequence of the 'lockdown' imposed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
