About this image

This letter from Patrick Moore came in response to one I had sent asking about telescopes. To say I was thrilled to receive it would be an understatement.

It is probably a typical example of the many, many such supportive letters he must have sent to youngsters starting out in Astronomy.

Today it graces a frame on our living room wall, a permanent reminder of the man who inspired a generation.
