There was a lot of media hype about the pink super moon, my Son's girlfriend was going to get up at 3am because that is when it would be at it's best!

It's great to have astronomy and science in general in the news, but the level of hype this had could only lead to disappointment. I imagine hardened lunar observers were able to use the slighting larger angular size to eek out a little more detail but the average joe would have been disappointed. 

Anyway here is my observation of it, it's not as ghastly as I expected...
