About this image

Despite its near-death experience this comet solders on. It now has what looks like a stable nucleus again (fragment B of the original nucleus) and the total magnitude is holding up surprisingly well (mag 9.1 from this image ref Gaia G). The coma is strongly elliptical now. Despite the damage at the centre it is still worth keeping an eye on this comet as it heads to perihelion in late May. It has a long way to go.
