About this image

After the unfortunate scrub of the Crew Dragon launch, I consoled myself by imaging the Moon, nicely placed in the western sky. Mare Nectaris has the very deep crater Theophilus to the north-west, and the partly-flooded Fracastorius to the south. The seeing was good so there is plenty of fine detail in the highlands around the mare.
