About this image
A quick processing of data gathered earlier on this afternoon for Venus - only a few days to inferior conjunction now.
Mainly gathered IR videos with 742nm and 807nm filters but thought I'd send a colour image out as the sky was so transparent. Iffy seeing but AS3! doing sterling work to make it all good. Love those cusp extensions!

Martin, it looks to me as if you have captured the complete circle of Venus' atmosphere. There is a very, very faint line of light that appears to join the two cusp extensions. I wondered if I was deluding myself, so I looked away, blocked the right-hand side of the image and put the mouse pointer on where I thought the feature was at about 9 o'clock. On uncovering the screen, the position was just right to complete the circle. Possibly if you boost the gamma or the contrast, you could bring it out more clearly.

This is a slight rework of the original colour image to improve some of the aesthetics.
@Chris. Can't see any trace of full circle when I push the processing with histo or gamma but may show up on the IR data for which I have lots. Will be sure to let you know,
