Title

Two rarely-imaged planetary nebulae: PN G016.3-02.3 and M1-46 in Scutum

About this image

Two very rarely imaged planetary nebulae - and both within a narrow field of view.
I could only find one other, much wider field, image of them at http://www.atacama-photographic-observatory.com/photos/0088_B312_HOLRVB_a.jpg
M1-46 is tiny and intensely bright - so bright it resembled a star - so processing was needed to make its intricate structure visible. It is almost purely Ha, whereas PN G016.3-02.3 is predominantly OIII.
