About this image

I wasn't expecting a clear night so nipped out for a quick imaging session when I noticed. The first quarter moon not far away was a pain and brightened the sky which hid the ion tail somewhat, though its still quite long. The comet was only glimpsed naked eye.

On any other occasion I would have said "Wow!" if a comet looked like this, but this comet spoilt us somewhat a week or two back. Hope we don't have to wait another 15 years for something comparable. It will be sorely missed.
