About this image

Gibbous moons in the sky do mess up the imaging of dim extended objects as all deep sky observer* know. So extracting NEOWISE from the background glow wasn't easy tonight. The ion tail and dust tail are clearly seen but so too is some dim haze. Pushing the contrast extended both tails quite a lot but this is the truer representation. Again, the coma was very green.

The galaxy at the top of the tail is NGC4631.

*You know you are a deep sky observer when you consider Jupiter to be light pollution
