About this image

The third area shooted in this 21st lunation day is rather tumultuous and has a great scenic impact and, certainly, also of significant geological interest.

The Straight Wall is in full light but the Rima Birt, accompanied by the crater that gives it its name, is on display.

Thebit is also immediately striking with its numerous internal indentations and a fault with geometric features.

The area is full of interesting and scenic formations but the ones that steal the show are in all probability Deslandres, an ancient and reviled crater with clouded walls and Pitatus, with its rimae that follow its not very steep walls.

Particular mention for the small Hesiodus A, made up of two concentric rings.
