About this image

I am attaching the elaborations of the filming of the morning of November 7th when, near the astronomical dawn, the instrumentation was completely wet, the plate misted but the Moon at its zenith.

To be operational I had to dry everything with a cloth and demist the plate with the 12v field hairdryer.

Even if the seeing was not of the first level, I am very satisfied with the resolution achieved: both within Ptolemy and Albategino some depressions are clearly visible. Furthermore, the plume in Alfonso and the rimae in it and the fault in Arzachel are present and clearly evident.

The Davy range is a shimmer of beauty and I notice the walls of Herschel as if they were "terraced". Alpetragius has that central boulder that gives even more a peculiar touch to the scene.
