C/2020 S3 Erasmus on 2020 December 2 at 18:00UT. Despite twilight and low altitude (8 degrees) I was able to spot the comet this morning, making a a visual estimate of 6.2, using 25x100mm binoculars. Surprisingly brighter than expected. No tail was visible. 10 days to perihelion. Current distance to Sun 0.48AU, distance to Earth 1.13AU
