About this image

This is an exceptionally silly picture of the transit of Mercury that I took by accident while trying to line my phone camera up with the eyepiece of a telescope. If you look very closely, you can just about see Mercury.

A colleague later suggested it was artistic enough that I should enter it for the University of Warwick's science/art photography competition. They were presumably a bit short of entries, since I somehow managed to win a prize...
