About this image

Lunar images were taken at the prime focus of a 150mm F8 Skywatcher ED refractor on 19th January 2021 centred around 08hrs 42min UT. The setting was 100 ISO with exposures in the order of 1/100 second. Despite some atmospheric distortion the relative resolution of the cameras is obvious in this extreme enlargement. The image was adjusted for brightness and contrast only.

The cameras compared have the same size sensor so a direct comparison can be made between the 2003 6MP 300D through the 20MP 70D (2013) to the 32MP 90D released in 2019.
