My first Aurora of the Cycle 24

About this image

Was my first sighting of Cycle 24 , It was March 10th 2011 and there was a G1 class storm I was out at 2am in the morning. In the previous Cycle I did not own a camera and drew rough sketches all my sightings. By this time I had worked out the relation of the negative Bz and the aurora so drove out to a "Windy"beauty spot and waited and shot a few photos, It was so windy I recall taking the photos at near ground level at the side of the road. Thanks for reading.
