About this image

Thick Low cloud preceded start of Eclipse. Luckily sky cleared only Seconds before First Contact. Sky conditions remained good for the first 20 minutes of the Eclipse. Then Cloud sheets rolled up from the SSW giving only momentary breaks. The image was taken at the nearest point of the Maximum of the eclipse given the Sky conditions. To all intents I was completely clouded out by 10.20UT An hour after the end of the event the Sky cleared !!! Very happy with what was achieved coming on the back of a brilliant display of NLC the previous evening
