On a day like this, 21 years ago, I enjoyed observing the epic Solar Eclipse of 11th Aug. 1999

I used to live in Leeds, and luckily resisted travelling to Cornwall where it was total, the clouds if you remember ruined the totality for the thousands who travelled south.

It was 88% partial eclipse up in Leeds, though my kids and I enjoyed every bit of it, and had a brilliant set of photos. Attaching one here.
