About this image

A view of Venus and the crescent Moon a day after the previous image. The Moon is currently well north of the ecliptic plane so passed north of Venus at their closest conjunction. Neither is especially well placed in the evening sky currently, owing to the shallow inclination of the ecliptic in the evening sky in the northern hemisphere.
