About this image

Spectrum of Nova Cas 2021 = V1405 Cas:  Hydrogen alpha emission still dominates with some helium lines also visible.  The same dark hydrogen Balmer series lines can be seen in the spectra of other stars in the field. The two stars labelled can be seen in an image of the field taken a few minutes earlier.

Field of view is ~ 47 x 27 arc minutes with north right.
