Raffaello, a BAA member has had an asteroid named for him, 102224 (Raffaellolena). Congratulations well deserved In a posting he asked if the asteroid could be imaged for him, I was able to tonight. Seeing was not good and local conditions humid, never the less I was able to take a series of 60sec exposures. The asteroid could be seen in single images. However, a stack of 17 x 60sec images was produced and examined with Astrometrica and as as seen in the image the asteroid is immediately above the red ID square. Blinking 30 images clearly showed the asteroid's motion. I have had problems with the filter wheel, which partially occluded the filter aperture hence the dark area to the right of frame.
