About this image

Using the one-shot colour QHY268C CMOS camera, the image consists of 10 hours of 4 minute exposures using an Astronomik L filter and 7 hours of narrowband using the Optolong L-Extreme filter from which the H-Alpha signal was extracted. All processing was performed in PixInsight. All images were calibrated with Darks, Flats and Flat-Darks. The Ha data was combined with the red channel to enhance the wonderful nebulae within the spiral arms of M31.
