Nebulosity around V347 Our

About this image

Guy Hurst recently sent out a notification of a brightening of the variable star V347 Our, and I recalled this had some nebulosity attached similar to Hinds variable nebula. It's not clear if V347 Aur's nebula is variable or not.

I thought it would be worthwhile to try and image it, and follow over the next couple of months.

It's interesting to note in the image that although the area is quite star rich, around V347 there is a distinct dearth of stars. This is part of the dark nebula LDN 1438.
