About this image

NGC 383: Fairly bright and visible to direct vision. Round or slightly elongated. Gradually brighter towards the middle.

NGC 384: Very faint, only visible to averted vision and then only fleetingly. Round and small with no structure and no central brightening visible.

NGC 385: Faint, small and round. A stellar nucleus was seen occasionally.
