About this image

NGC 584: Pretty bright, even though only at 16° altitude. Elongated with pointed terminals. Much brighter in the middle where there is a possible stellar nucleus. The north eastern edge appeared quite sharp.

NGC 586: Very pale and difficult at this altitude (16°). Just a very dim disc with no visible brightening.
