NGC2820 Deep Sky Section's November 'Object of Interest'

About this image

A further attempt at imaging NGC2820, November's 'Object of Interest' for the Deep Sky Section. This is an edge-on barred spiral galaxy at a distance of c.72million ly located in Ursa Major.

NGC2814, an edge-on barred spiral galaxy, can be seen above NGC2820 and lies at about the same distance.

Both objects were discovered by William Herschel in 1791.

Bortle 7/8. No Moon and my neighbours had their lights off!
