About this image

A frustrating morning with lots of cloud around and only a few clear gaps. The blustery wind didn't help either. I got this set when  the comet was still quite low but the sky was transparent. I get a total magnitude of 6.9 now and a coma diameter of almost 16 arcmin. The tail is visible for around 1.5 deg from here but is much longer from darker sites. We are in the moon free period now so observe this comet at every opportunity!
