About this image

NGC 1160: Extremely difficult. Visible only occasionally. Elongation suspected, though perhaps optimistically.

NGC 1161: Fairly bright and immediately obvious. This galaxy is extremely small visually. I suspect that only the very central portion was visible. There is a brighter, apparently stellar nucleus. It looks perfectly circular.
