About this image

A recently discovered open cluster, one of Callum Potter's objects of interest for December. The image is centred on the coordinates quoted in Callum's newsletter, but it is not clear which stars could be members of the cluster. My guess would be to the top-right of the image. Astrometry.net only identified the brightest star as HD34922.

I agree with your appraisal of where ASCC 15 lies. I have looked at the DSS for the area. I would place the centre of the object at RA 05h 22m 42s Dec +36 25, 11 or 12' from the coordinates given in the OVOC catalogue. The little 'stick-man' asterism just south of this has HD 281027 as its head. See my album for the DSS of the area.
