About this image

For once we had a beautiful clear evening on 5 January. The three day old Moon made an attractive sight lying below Jupiter. Saturn is visible in the lower mid part of this image, and Mercury was visible low above the horizon to the right of Saturn, but is not really discernible in any of the images I took.
