Title

LBN468, and dust on the Cepheus/Draco border

About this image

LBN 468 lies on the border of Cepheus and Draco and is part of a wide region of dust and light and dark nebulae - there are several LDN catalogued dark nebulae in this image. Towards the centre-top of the image is the small Gyulbudaghian's Nebula (GM 1-29) illuminated by the variable PV Cep.

Near LDN1157 is what appears to be another small embedded nebula which is (perhaps mis-) catalogued as PGC 2708838 - this is however a nebula near the YSO IRAS 20359+6745, and is also catalogued as GM 3-12 / GN 20.35.9 - this lies at at distance of 340±3pc [Sharma et. al : https://www.aanda.org/articles/aa/full_html/2020/07/aa37438-20/aa37438-20.html]
