About this image

NGC 2388 - Only visible to averted vision and even then less than 25% of the time. When glimpsed, though, the elongation was fairly clear.

NGC 2389 - Faint, and mostly visible only to averted vision. Featureless with no brightening apparent. A possible elongation was suspected.
