About this image

This was my first session imaging the Sun since September last year. Now that it is gradually rising over the flag poles and roof tops that dominate my view to the South, I managed last weekend to get a quick 5 minutes in before another roof interfered with the view.

AR2954 (right) - Consists of a single spot designated HSX. Only a single flare has been observed from this region, Class C2.3 on 21 February 2022.

AR2955 (left) - Similar to AR2954 with the same designation. This region has been more active producing ten solar flares to date the most powerful being a Class C3.2 flare again on the 21 February 2022.
