About this image

NGC 3953 is a 9th magnitude barred spiral galaxy (Sbc), which is 41 million light years from our solar system. Getting some of the inner ring structure which encircles the bar.

I had to wait for it to drop down from the zenith point and had a photo-bombing satellite plus a 96% illuminated Moon to contend with.

(Bortle 5ish with dew shield, no filter and moderate seeing)
