About this image

This faint spiral galaxy was discovered by William Herschel in March 1787.

This image reveals plenty of mottling but little of the spiral structure. As with most of these objects, longer exposures seem desirable - much longer. But I am still pleased to be observing any aspect of these DSOs, courtesy of the Unistellar (a.k.a. 'The Mighty Midget'!)

Distance c.98million ly. Apparent mag 11.7.
