About this image

This was in response to John Chuter's Observer's challenge to photograph Mercury and the Pleiades together. This is a single 2.5s shot at ISO1600 (f/5.6), with the focal length of the lens at 105mm. The original image has been binned x2 and corrected for barrel/pincushion distortion and vignetting.
