Prominence sketch

About this image

Sketch of a short lived explosive prominence. Within 10 minutes of completing the sketch the small plasma 'blob' at the apex of the prominence had moved away from the solar surface and the rest of the material/prominence had dissipated. Sketched "as seen" (mirror view) due to mirror diagonal in the optical train.
