About this image

This photograph was as a result of the BAA Observer's Challenge to capture Mercury at maximum elongation along with M45. For me it was more of a steep learning curve to begin experimenting with my DSLR camera on astronomical targets, along with experimenting with software. I first put the raw CR2 image into ASTAP to bring out the start (just by experimenting) and used GIMP to crop and get it under 2Mb.
