There was a fairly extensive but slow-moving display of NLC this morning picked up on my NE monitoring camera. It developed over an hour or so as twilight brightened the sky. You can see an hour of video at x100 speed here:

This is the most extensive display that I have seen this year so far.

Quick question. In the movie, whats causing the artefact that sweeps down from top left to bottom right at about 1:53?

Wish I had not gone to bed early now.

Grant, The things moving downwards at high speed around that time are small tropo clouds. Is that what you mean?
