Great to see a visual observation with a good sketch but I think your orientation is wrong. The tail is almost due north of the coma. The tail is quite faint too so impressed you picked it up visually.

Hi Nick- thanks for the feedback. You're quite right- when on autopilot, I revert to the old visual observers tradition of putting north at the bottom! It was rather transparent (unusually- its been hazy at night for quite some time) and I guess no Moon helped. I should point out, the tail in the drawing is a little easier than it appeared in the eyepiece!
