About this image

This is a comparison of set-ups from my brilliant but short focal length Skywatcher 190MN (f5) to an old Meade 125mm f9.3 achromatic refractor.

The new set-up has a modified tube to reduce stray light, new (second-hand) Crayford focuser with PC control, Herschel wedge and 4x powermate making it an f37.2 telescope
