Sh 2-91 Cyg Supernova Remnant - Unseen!

About this image

Sharpless 2-91 Cyg is the Deep Sky Section's August 'Object of Interest'. This 30min. exposure revealed absolutely no sign of the elusive supernova remnant! Conditions not ideal - Bortle 7/8, Moon waxing gibbous 77%, 10 days old, low in SW, light cloud - and imaged without additional filter. Also, the Unistellar does not enable a field of view of more than about 30'. However, a longer exposure may yield a positive result. To be continued . . .
