About this image

Here is another of the very low-lying summer Messier objects. M75 reaches just 15 deg elevation from my observatory, and I can just reach it over the observatory wall for a few hours each night.

I have to capture these low-lying targets when they are east of the meridian to enable me to use my RC10 telescope on my side by setup. Once I've executed a meridian flip, the RC scope can't see the target.

This is a very small data set, and it needed careful processing to get the maximum from it. Some modern noise-reducing apps can do awful things to star images, whilst others can wash out colours on faint stars as colour noise. So, there is much use of masks in processing this image.
