About this image

This loose (Class III2r) open cluster is difficult to distinguish from numerous field stars. It was discovered by William Herschel in July 1784.

Distance c. 2,510ly. Age c.720million yrs. Apparent mag 6.3.

Nice, Alan. I think the eVscope has done an excellent job on these star colours. I suspect a wider field of view might isolate the cluster better. You've inspired me to have a go at this target with a refractor.
